Mohamed Makawi, President/CEO
Mr. Makawi is an IHOP Franchise Owner and Developer who is sales driven with over 20 years of business ownership. He is actively involved in every aspect of his businesses from Operations to Sales and Marketing. Committed, energized, determined and experienced describes Makawi’s approach to guest service, strategic initiatives, employee mentoring and coaching. He is passionate about the success of all individuals that work in his organization. Mr. Makawi understands that the guest is the single most valuable asset an organization can have, and he is dedicated to the unrelenting pursuit of customer-driven focus.

Mike Masin, Chief Operations Officer
COO with over 30 years of proven success in revitalizing failing restaurant operations. Proven career record of producing double digit sales increases as well as dramatically improve bottom line profits through pinpointing operational inefficiencies and encouraging the revitalization of employee morale and corporate culture change. Ability to build and retains high performance teams by hiring, developing, and motivating skilled professionals.

Jimmy Free, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Free is a longtime Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and oversees all operations budgets and financial reporting. Administrative staff includes Nancy Bennett, Office and Payroll, and Wendi Schulman, Accounting Specialist. Free oversees the operations and payroll services totaling more than 1,000 employees.

Tonyell Somerville, VP of Training and Development
Tonyell (Tony to us) has been with IHOP for over 20 years. She heads the training and development department. She is responsible for the assessment and identification of the business’s training and development needs, primarily at the managerial level and for the effective coordination of training and development programs for the business. Tony actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods for enhancing performance, and recognizing outstanding performance.

Emad Noufal, Area Director 


Providing leadership and creating a culture of accountability in quality operations, budgeting, sales & profit performance, hiring, training, developing, and retaining great leaders in our South Carolina restaurants.

Robert Gonzales, Area Director 


Providing leadership and creating a culture of accountability in quality operations, budgeting, sales & profit performance, hiring, training, developing, and retaining great leaders in our North and South Carolina restaurants.

Miguel Fragoso, Area Director

Shereen Hassan, Area Director
